Vitamin K is necessary for blood coagulation and bone density.

Public sources recommend 70 micrograms of Vitamin K per day for adults.

Cabbage, green leafy vegetables and some oils are very good sources of vitamin K1 (phylloquinone). Vitamin K2 is formed by bacteria in the intestines of animals, but can also be found in higher levels in fermented foods and algae.
